In collaboration with Qatar Foundation and Generation Amazing, the initiative to advance women’s soccer in Qatar and create a lasting social legacy for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM continues to thrive. Sports Lab, as a valued partner institution, contributed significantly to this endeavor by providing essential services such as tournament organization, referee nomination, teams’ registration, and the management of game schedules and systems.
The 2nd Edition of the Women’s Amateur and Grassroots U14 semifinals and finals took place at the prestigious Education City Stadium on National Sport Day. This event attracted a total of 130 players representing 9 female teams, showcasing the growing enthusiasm and talent within the local female soccer community.
Through such initiatives, the organizers are not only nurturing grassroots talent but also promoting inclusivity and gender equality in sports. These efforts align with the broader vision of Qatar Foundation and Generation Amazing to build a sustainable and socially conscious sporting culture in preparation for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM and beyond.
