In partnership with Qatar Foundation and Generation Amazing, the initiative to advance women’s soccer in Qatar and establish a lasting social legacy for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM continues to flourish. Sports Lab, as a valued partner institution, has played a significant role in this endeavor by providing essential services such as tournament organization, referee selection, teams’ registration, and the management of game schedules and systems.
The 3rd Edition of the Women’s Amateur semifinals and finals took place at the prestigious Education City Stadium on National Sport Day. This event attracted a total of 135 players representing 9 female teams, showcasing the growing enthusiasm and talent within the local female soccer community.
Through such initiatives, the organizers are not only nurturing amateur talent but also promoting inclusivity and gender equality in sports. These efforts align with the broader vision of Qatar to build a sustainable and socially conscious sporting culture in the country.
